SnoSpree Ski Night moved to Friday 0

By Stephen Uhler, OBSERVER MULTIMEDIA JOURNALIST

The taste of spring the Ottawa Valley experienced Wednesday has forced the rescheduling of SnoSpree's free Ski and Snowboard Night to Friday.

Susan Ellis, economic development, recreation and tourism manager, said the event was postponed due to the warm weather.

"We're working with the owners of the Alice Ski Hill and they advised the ski conditions were not good," she said. So it was decided to move the event to Friday, Feb. 1. The weather is expected to cool off Thursday with snow, and by Friday be cold but clear.

The event is free and runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Alice Ski Hill and Snowboard Park.
