Two arrested as drug search warrant executed and more than $1 million in marijuana plants seized in South Algonquin Township

SOUTH ALGONQUIN – On the Sept. 20 members of the Killaloe/Whitney Ontario Provincial Police, Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Drug Enforcement Unit, Canine Unit and the Emergency Response Team executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at an address on Major Lake Road, South Algonquin Township. Police located more than 1,000 marijuana plants and six grams of cannabis marijuana.

As a result of the execution of this search warrant police have charged 56-year-old Susan Robinson-Yu, of Stittsville, and 53-year-old Robert Pirillo of King City each with possession of a schedule ll substance for the purposes of trafficking and production of a schedule ll substance (cannabis marijuana) under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Both accused appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke, and were released on a recognizance order.
