RE:Bill C 391 will prolong random acts of violence against women

As a man, I feel acts of violence against women should never happen, but I fail to see how scraping the long registry is going to make that happen.

Gun owners will still have to go through the same process for a license laid out in bill C-68. They will still have to be stored the same, you will still need a license to purchase a firearm and ammunition. Handguns and other prohibited firearms will still need to be registered in the same manner as in bill C-68. The only thing changing is rifles and shotguns will not be registered.

As for the police using the registry, they will still know if a LEGAL gun owner is in the house, because of his license. If a police officer using the registry, finds that there are not supposed to be guns in the house does he approch the situation with less caution. I hope not because criminals don't registar their guns.
