Peewees on ice this weekend

The second weekend of the 25th annual Terry O'Neill Pembroke Regional Silver Stick tournament begins today with peewee A and B teams taking to the ice.

This is the Bill Kutschke peewee weekend, sponsored by Mulvihill Drug Mart.

Action begins this morning at 10 a. m. in both city arenas. At the Pembroke and Area Community Centre, the Petawawa Patriots take on the Kanata Blazers while at the Pembroke Memorial Centre, the Arnprior Packers do battle with the Nepean Raiders.

The Pembroke Kings play their first game at 7 p. m., taking on the Ottawa Sting at the PMC.

Action goes until 10 p. m. tonight and resumes at 7 a. m. Saturday and 8 a. m. Sunday, with the finals commencing at 4 p. m. Sunday afternoon.
