Kings trade Farrell and draft pick Ryan Pike

The Pembroke Lumber Kings have acquired veteran defenceman Daniel Sauve from the Cumberland Grads.
The Kings also picked up a fourth-round draft pick in 2010 in exchange for defenceman Stephen Farrell and draft pick Ryan Pike, who currently plays JuniorBhockeywith theOttawaWest Golden Knights.
Sauve, a native of Orleans, led all Central Junior Hockey League defenceman in scoring last season with 11 goals and 41 assists and brings a new offensive element to the Kings' blue-line, noted Kings' coach and general manager Sheldon Keefe while announcing the trade.
"The Pembroke Lumber Kings would like to thank Stephen and Ryan for their time with the organization and wish them all the best with the Grads," he said. "The Lumber Kings family also welcomes Daniel to Hockey Town."
Sauve and the Kings face his former team Sunday night when the Cumberland Grads are in town for a 7 p. m. start at the Pembroke Memorial Centre.
