Lost Pilgrims Will Perform In Deep River
Lost Pilgrims, will bring their eclectic mix of bluegrass, country, folk and rock to St. Barnabas Anglican Church at 2:00pm on Saturday April 20th. Originally inspired by the soundtrack to the movie, ‘O Brother, Where Art Thou’, and year of playing together as part of the folk ensembles at a family Presbyterian Music Camp in the Muskokas, the band has now passed its’ tenth anniversary. Members of the band are Hugh Donnelly (guitar and mandolin), Scott Cooper (banjo mandolin and guitar), David Linderman (guitar mandolin and whistles) and Stephen Kendall (bass and guitar). Ex-pat Deep River boy Ian MacCready rounds out the sound at the sound board. 'We play the music we love' says the band, 'with our own special twist'.Please call the parish office, 584-4131 if you would like to attend so we have some idea of how many chairs we need! There is no charge for this event, but a free-will offering will be taken to help support the St. Barnabas Accessibility Project, Building to Grow the Church Fund. The parish is raising money to make St. Barnabas more accessible by adding an elevator and making other improvements to the church.
