Pembroke announces temporary closure of Boundary, Bennett intersection

The City of Pembroke is alerting residents that the intersection of Boundary Road and Bennett Street will be closed to all traffic as of today (May 6) until June 24. This closure is required to safeguard construction workers and drivers during ongoing infrastructure work.
During this period, detour routes will be clearly marked, and the city advises motorists to adhere to construction signage and utilize alternative routes. Businesses within the construction and detour areas remain open and the city urges residents to continue supporting these establishments.
For heavy truck traffic coming into Pembroke from Highway 17 or Highway 41, the designated detour will guide vehicles along Paul Martin Drive, passing through the traffic signals at Mud Lake and Boundary Road East.
The city thanks residents for their understanding and cooperation throughout this phase of the infrastructure upgrades in the area.
