Petawawa announces its new chief administrative officer

PETAWAWA – Scott Randolph has been announced as the new chief administrative officer for the Town of Petawawa, effective July 17.

He will be succeeding retiring CAO Dan Scissons who has served the municipality in multiple roles for over 30 years.

Randolph brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of municipal government to his new role.

With an impressive track record in public administration and a passion for community development, Randolph is well-positioned to lead the Town of Petawawa into its next chapter of growth and prosperity, a press release from the municipality stated.

As the new CAO, Randolph will continue to carry out town council’s priorities.

“He will work closely with the town council, staff members, and community partners to ensure Petawawa remains a vibrant and inclusive place to live, work, and play. His extensive experience in financial management, policy development, and project execution will be invaluable as the town navigates future opportunities and challenges,” the release stated.

Speaking about his appointment, Scott Randolph expressed his enthusiasm for the new role.

“I am honoured and excited to assume the position of CAO for the Town of Petawawa. It is a privilege to work with such a dedicated team and a community that is passionate about its future. I look forward to building upon the solid foundation established by my predecessor, Mr. Scissons, and collaborating with all stakeholders to achieve council’s shared vision for Petawawa,” Randolph said.

Petawawa Mayor Gary Serviss also expressed his confidence in Randolph’s capabilities.

“The hiring committee worked diligently to ensure the best possible skill set was found to lead our town. His appointment as CAO is well-deserved, and I have every confidence in his ability to lead our administration effectively. I am confident that under his guidance, the Town of Petawawa will continue to thrive,” the mayor said.

In the release, the Town of Petawawa said it extends its heartfelt appreciation to retiring CAO Dan Scissons for his dedicated service and countless contributions over the years.

“Scissons’ unwavering commitment to the town and his tireless efforts have been instrumental in shaping Petawawa into the community it is today,” the release said.
