George Elliott Clarke next guest poet and author at Valley Voices
Article content
Valley Voices is a literary reading series where poets, writers and community members can join forces and speak freely. The night consists of a guest poet/author, followed by an open mic, and a potluck dinner. The venue changes from private homes, to public libraries, to coffee shops in and around the Bonnechere Valley.
On Saturday, Sept. 30 we’re featuring guest poet and author George Elliott Clarke. A professor of English at the University of Toronto, Clarke has also taught at Duke, McGill, the University of British Columbia, and Harvard. He has received the Governor General’s Award for Poetry, The National Magazine Gold Award for Poetry, the Dartmouth Book Award for Fiction among so many more; you don’t want to miss this intimate event!
RSVP to valleyvoicesspeak@gmail.com to receive the address to the event!
